Amis comes to Queen Elizabeth Hall

Martin Amis with Mark Lawson

An opportunity to spend an evening with Martin Amis, the pre-eminent novelist-critic of his generation. He will read from his new book, War Against Cliché, which spans the last twenty-five years and contains pieces on writers such as Saul Bellow, Don DeLillo, V. S. Pritchett and Thomas Harris, as well as covering chess, masculinity, Hillary Clinton and Margaret Thatcher. He will discuss these essays and his other work with Mark Lawson.

There will also be an opportunity to put your questions to Martin Amis.

Mark Lawson is a Guardian columnist and BBC broadcaster.
