Ed. I am still laughing from your about post my Ex-toy-boy, Geoff. Do you think Aaron went on the stand-up tour with Geoff as his "straight man?" Excuse me, but i had to stop typing to get down on the floor and roll around in contortionist spasms. Really, i do love Goeff, alwasy have, but he left me for that little chicken boy, Randy Mantooth. Sorry, but it still hurts.
Anyway, back to the subject at hand-and then on to my AOL book chat for this evening: Julian Barnes' *Before She Met Me."
I am just as enthralled by Pynchon as you all. But can't get past his easier? novels like *Vineland.* After reading it i bought *Gravity's Rainbow* and *Crying of Lot49 which i encouraged Jim! to read and now he's cross because i haven't read it yet. I am not the high literary dons you fellows are and do not pretend to be. I only ask for the privilege to sit humbly at your knees on my zen pillow, hoping you will toss a few crumbs of your erudite insight and perspecatious interpretation. I know this sounds like a bunch of shit but it's not.
