Click the link for Zoe Williams' bitchadelic defense of Germaine Greer. Dillon Bryden's photo of Amis makes Mini-Mart look like a glowering sunburnt caveman with a Maxi-Brow. Call me a fogey, but Amis's blond-shock widower's peak is not my idea of a legitimate fashion-statement. And just from a technical point of view, I could strangle the photographer for including that patch of glare on the upper right side.....And then there's poor Julian Barnes, looking like a parrot caught in the headlights. "The Lipless Wonder". "The Nose-on-a-stick". Julian Barnes: writer, stud, bon vivant.....Don't get me started on Warren Beatty. Warren visited my hometown a few years ago. Warren proceeded to seduce the entire female population of Tenafly, New Jersey. The GALL of that sonuvabitch. Warren Beatty will bone anything that isn't nailed down.
