Now we know MA is just one long Larkin poem, I'm in the mood for influences. If Nabokov hasn't read Dream Story & taken young girls to his heart, so to speak, I'm Tom (but for one letter he could have been noone's favourite filmstar - in fact he's probably your favourite Tim, Sugar) Cruise.
I'm only 20 pages into Dream Story & have already come across (not getting any better is it?) 3 pouting pubescents. I assume this is not a large part of EWS, but it would certainly save Tom the trouble of those 10 inch stacked heels.
I'll be going to Austria in a couple of weeks so I'll check out the scene. Thanks, by the way, to whomever it was who revealed they go on business trips to Antwerp - made me feel a lot better about my drab existence.
