I've held back from posting the London Fields screenplay for both technical and personal reasons.

I'm working out how to post a 124 page screenplay on the Web and not make it painful for the reader to read. You might imagine the challenge here. However, I think I've worked out two methods, one of which may involve a download of the screenplay and a small "viewer" application, as well as just posting all the pages on the site. I may have this worked out by this weekend.

Regarding the "novelistic discourse," we've employed the dreaded voice over technique to capture (we think) this quality. This, of course, opens up the whole can of worms regarding the effectiveness and desirability of voice overs, which I'm sure to take much flack over. Also, our adaptation makes some compromises and even makes a slight change to the ending which I'm quite sure will lead many of the MAD participants to seek my head on a platter. After our recent experience with the loss of the option, I'm just now able to take on the outcry. Sorry to put my personal feelings in the way of everyone's desire to read and critique our adaptation, but I'm almost over it.

For those who want to be notified when the screenplay is posted, please e-mail a message saying "please contact me via e-mail when the London Fields screenplay is posted," or some similar statement, to: screenplay@londonfields.com and I will send you a message when I post the screenplay. Otherwise, I'll notify via the MAD when it's ready.

Thanks for your indulgence.
