Yes. Isn't it ironic that Burchill satirises Amis for not being up-to-date ('thirty years after Aldermaston') yet is taking the piss out of a book that Marty wrote nearly twenty years ago?
Actually, I don't mind the woman, as Jonesey says, as long as you don't take her seriously. And talking of journalists who can't write fiction, AA Gill (who, love him or hate him, can indisputably write good copy) got a terrible hammering from his own paper for his new novel which, if such a thing is possible, is evidently even worse than his first. Hooray for our Mart for being brilliant at both.
